Diet and Weightloss ArticlesDiet Adjustments Because of Kidney Stones
Over a year after I was diagnosed and treated for kidney stones, I returned at last to the clinic in order for myself to get an ultrasound test just to find out if I have kidney stones again. According to my doctor, I tend to form these stones quite easily so it's important that I get my kidneys monitored regularly for problems.
Sure enough, it was found out that I have some small stones in the walls of my kidney once again. My urologist was surprised because the rate by which I form kidney stones is quite fast. Of course there is the possibility that my earlier ultrasound was not very good, but the stones that I have now are small, but still worth going over. There is no assurance that I will never form kidney stones once again after I take my medication. This is because I have the genetic predisposal to form kidney stones due to high uric acid. Special efforts have to be made in order to add cereals to my daily diet, which is personally a challenge because I am not a fan of cereals and whole-wheat breads. Other than that, I also have to avoid food items that are high in oxalate, such as chocolates, strawberries, and soda. No qualms, there. You can talk about...
